The course on Practical Caravanning Familiarization at Dhoot Driving School lasts for three hours in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. The course syllabus is conducted by extremely qualified and experienced instructors at all our training centers and also includes the practice and instructions in
- Hitching and towing in a safe and efficient manner
- Understanding of the loading process and how it affects the towing process
With caravans becoming heavier by the day, it is now all the more relevant to get the B+E test done for the caravanners. There are many such people who wish to tow a vehicle whose combined weight is more than 3.5 tonnes, and if you are one of them, you must check the entitlement before starting with it.
If you have received the car licence after January 1997, you would need to get the B+E entitlement. The new drivers can drive a vehicle that is up to 3.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight (GVW) along with a 750 kgs GVW trailer that is usually far less than a caravan.
Along with the B+E entitlement, if you wish to tow an average size caravan along with an average size car, you would not exceed the limits of B+E generally. However, with the larger sized recreational vehicles and the 4X4s, that weighs around 3000 kgs, you might need to take a test for the C1+E entitlement.
