LGV C/ HGV Class 2
HGV 2 / LGV C up to 32 tonnes
You do not need to pass your LGV C1, 7.5 ton to drive rigid Lorries weighing up to 32 tonnes, after you have completed 18 years of age, if you can have a LGV C license. After passing your LGV C you would have C1 and C both.
After you have passed your C you can opt for LGV C+E with one back to back training or maybe in future such that you can drive drawbar combination and articulated vehicles up to 44 tonnes.
With our very own experienced, qualified & accredited DSA trainers you can be sure about:
- Easily used and well positioned controls along with effortless 6 & 8 speed gearbox, perfectly all round visibility and of course a smooth ride.
- Power steering and an adjustable steering wheel which leads to great maneuverability and comprehensive turning circle.
- Very low levels of noise and pollution with engines that are in compliance with the London Emission Zone.
- Safety belts with suspended seats of cloth and air condition.
- You would find our LGV C & C+E driver training courses at Wembley Centre along with several other locations across London as well as around the M25. Look for the Dhoot Driving School LGV training near you.

Are you ready to make arrangements for your theory tests?
Call us to book your theory tests. You would need to visit the website two times, once for arranging for Multiple Choice or MC and again for the appointment for Hazard Perception or HP. The MC test takes around 1 hour and 55 minutes while the HP test takes around 40 minutes. Hence you can take both the tests in one day. all you would need to do is first book for MC test and arrange for the HP test either before or after the MC test.
When will I be able to begin the training? Would I need a lot of training? How much money would I need to invest?
We suggest that you go for a DRIVING ASSESSMENT as soon as you get your provisional license. This assessment lasts for about an hour where one of our trainers can check out your driving skills and experience to recommend a training course that you would need for passing your test. We would then offer you a quote for C as well as C+E, in case you would like to go for back to back courses. You can also request information about Pass Protection.
You can fill the booking form on the contact us page or simply phone us to book for an assessment.
When would I be able to get employed with a driving job?
If you do not already have the C1 you would need to undergo two further tests before you can look for a job. The tests are Driver CPC theory case study test and test with practical demonstration that would get you the Driver Qualification Card that you would need, to work as a professional driver. For more information, visit our Driver CPC Initial Qualification page.
If you have newly acquired your PCV test in EU, e.g. Poland, Romania or Portugal and have been looking for driving jobs in UK, you would need to get the Driver CPC Driver Qualification Card. We can help in getting you this essential card with our special package that can be arranged fast. It is meant for only the theory test case study and practical demonstration such that you can start with your job without much ado.
(This special package can be availed by new customers of Dhoot Driving School as well who the other training providers have let down)
If you had passed your driving test before January 1997 in the UK, you too would need 35 hours of Driver CPC Periodic Training that has to be completed with September 2014. Dhoot Driving School is an accredited school of driver training and hence YOUR HOURS OF LORRY DRIVER TRAINING WOULD ALSO COUNT AS YOUR DRIVER CPC HOURS.
Then when you have got employed remember that we can help you with the 35 hours of Driver CPC Periodic Training that you would need to undergo over the course of next 5 years. You can visit our Your Future Career and Jobs page for details about driving jobs.
