Kingsbury School of Motoring offers training on huge variety vehicle types: motor truck (C, C1, C+E) (LGV, HGV), bus & mini-bus (D1, D1+E, D Automatic Bus, D Manual Coach, D+E), cars (class B), motorbike (A, A1, A2), B+E car & trailer training

PCV training— Buses and coaches are known as Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCV). Some of the sub categories in this training include D, D1, D+E, and D1+E. D1 Minibus, D1+E Minibus & Trailer, D Automatic Bus, D Manual Coach. Of these, the D automatic and the D1- minibus are meant for the manually driven vehicles only.

The B+E car and trailer training: This training is meant for the towing vehicles only that can be attached with a small trailer. It depends on the maximum authorized mass or the MAM limit. If your vehicle is within the MAM limit, you can avail the B license. For the vehicles that are more than the MAM limit, you have to obtain the B+E license.

To add a trailer entitlement (+E) to your licence, you ll need to hold the full category entitlement for the vehicle before you take the trailer test. For example, to drive an articulated vehicle, you would need to pass category C, and then pass category C+E to obtain the required licence.

HGV/LGV training— This training is meant for the vehicles carrying large and heavy goods only. As the name suggest, the license for this training depends on the weight specifications of the vehicles only. Some of the categories of training that you can avail are C1 E license, C1 + E 7.5t + trailer, C up to 32 tons, C + E truck and trailer. When driving larger vehicles, the maximum authorised mass which means total vehicle weight plus the maximum load it can carry influences the driving licence entitlement needed by you. For example, if the vehicle has a maximum authorised mass (MAM) which exceeds 3.5 tonnes, but not 7.5 tonnes, then a category C1 licence is needed. If the MAM exceeds 7.5 tonnes then a category C licence is needed.

CPC Driver training— The most important thing to know is that professional bus, coach and lorry drivers are now required to hold a Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) licence in addition to a vocational driving licence. The Driver CPC Initial Qualification route is for any new drivers hoping to enter the road haulage or passenger carrying industries. Initial qualification consists of 4 parts, all of which drivers must pass to qualify. Following initial qualification drivers must then complete 35 hours of periodic training every five years, if they want to keep their Driver CPC status. Only training that has been approved and delivered by a JAUPT registered provider will count towards certification. Driver CPC Courses will qualify drivers for a minimum of seven hours for a one day course up to the full 35 hours for a 5 day course.

We consider that our driver training vehicles should offer comfort and safety with dual-controls whilst giving the learner driver the experience of driving a modern, up-to-date car. Here we teach current traffic safety laws to ensure you’re following the rules for on-the-road fundamentals like the right of way, changing lanes, 3-point turns, 4-way stops, yielding and safe following distance. It is our responsibility to facilitate you to obtain the driving licence with the concerned authority of DVLA on your behalf.

You can also avail from us at Dhoot Driving School are the pass protection and the PCV pass protection services to ensure that you can reappear for the driving tests in case you fail to clear the test in single attempt. You can also avail a refund of the money in case you are not satisfied with the training program in the middle of the training.
